The Best Woodworking Tools

from: ConsumerEvidence.com

What are the best woodworking tools? Some might say it’s the least expensive tools that you can find. Most of the time, it’s the tools that you have on hand, but the truth is the best woodworking tools are tools that are easy to use, and tools that will get the job done. Name brand tools make a lot of sales based on reputation, and there is nothing wrong with that so long as they get the job done. There are some name brands that go above and beyond what is needed, like the laser guided precision cut of the Hitachi Miter Saw. Could you get the job done with a less expensive miter saw? Probably. Could you do a better job with the Hitachi Miter Saw? More than likely, you would.

There is a balance between getting the job done and the ease of use. For instance, you could cut a 2 x 4 with a regular handsaw, but it wouldn’t be as easy to use as a Hitachi Miter Saw. On the other hand, a chain saw would cut the 2 x 4 with much more ease than a miter saw, but it would be a less accurate cut, and the end of the 2 x 4 would be jagged.

I guess what I am trying to say is that you don’t want to have not enough, but you don’t want to have too much either. You wouldn’t want sand out the smooth finish on a dresser drawer with a piece of sandpaper and a little elbow grease; neither would you want to use a huge table sander that could damage the woodwork. A small hand sander for this type of job is proffered. This brings me back to the example of the Hitachi Miter Saw. There are different versions of the saw available. If you need a miter saw, choose one with the size and features that are going to be right for you.
