The Palm Pre Controls
from: ConsumerEvidence.comThe Palm Pre's comes in a unique design. It has a smooth, black, lacquered finish and rounded edges. It’s also very easy to use because the external controls are kept at a minimum. The face of the device only has one control: a centre button. When you tap this with your finger, you are given a Deck of Card view at the programs it carries. The centre key can be a bit misleading. It looks like a trackball navigator. You might try to navigate a page by trying to scroll up and down using the centre button. But the fact is, you need to press it like a key.
On the top portion of the unit, you will see a power button, a silent ringer switch, and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. These three buttons are good to see because right then and there, you can already imagine what this phone is capable of. The left side features a volume rocker and the microUSB port is placed on the right. Like many phones out in the market, you will see the camera, flash, speaker, and removable battery at the back. The nicest feature that the phone can boast about is the fact that the display measures only 3.1 inches diagonally. Compared to the iPhone, this is much smaller and more attractive. There is also a tiny QWERTY keyboard so that it looks more compact and handy. For those who want their gadgets to look dainty, the Palm Pre is definitely a choice worth looking into.
