The Palm Pre Pros and Cons
from: ConsumerEvidence.comThe Palm Pre's launch may be one of the biggest in the gadget industry. This Smartphone is equipped with multitasking capabilities with an excellent notifications system. The Pre comes with the following features:
- Multi-touch functionality
- Touch screen control
- Slide-out keyboard
- Superb multimedia integration
- Web Services
- Wireless options such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Aesthetically, the Palm Inc's Smartphone is not as attractive as the Apple iPhone. Nonetheless, this could really give Apple’s new phone a run for its money. The Palm is distributed exclusively by Sprint Nextel Corp. Although it still leaves a lot of room for improvement, the phone shows a lot of promise.
Some of the draw backs are its cramped keyboard and short battery life. The next generations could also use an expansion slot, video recording, and flash support. This minor inconvenience isn’t weightier than the excellent features and multitasking capabilities. Gadget lovers will appreciate this new technology just as much. Yes, the hardware could be better, but it still has a solid operating system that rivals the competition. As early as now, it is already able to set a new standard in the way phones handle tasks and manage information.
The Palm Pre's design is unique, but if you had to have a point of reference, you could say that it somewhat resembles the HCT touch. It has a smooth, black, lacquered finish and rounded edges. It’s also very simple to use because the external controls are kept at a minimum.
